Early Eames ESU's, 150 Series and 250 Series. The always charming Eames Storage Units are the result of work done by Charles and Ray Eames for the a 1949 exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The Eames were expressing both a "machine aesthetic" and Japanese interests. In their ESU's the Eames cleverly crafted a fantastically function and aesthetically delightful collection of desks and storage pieces made from mass-produced interchangeable parts in fantastic finishes and colors.
This matched set it in excellent condition featuring no damage and all of the original hardware and glides. Normal wear consistent with age and use is present.
